DAY 1 ISTANBUL

Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.

DAY 2 ISTANBUL

Full day of sightseeing in Istanbul. Visit the renewed Sultanahmet Mosque, known popularly as The Blue Mosque, an incredibly beautiful mosque known for its blue Iznik (Nicaea) tiles, unique for the fact that it has six minarets. We continue on to the Hippodrome, once the vast arena that was the heart of sporting (chariots races and athletics) events and political activities of the old city. Continue to the nearby Hagia Sophia, Church of Divine Wisdom. Ranking as one of the greatest marvels of world architecture, this awe-inspiring building was constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Byzantine Emperor Justinian. After lunch, visit to Topkapi Palace, which, for more than 400 years, was the imperial residence of the Ottoman Sultans; now home to the priceless collections of porcelain, jewelry, calligraphy and many masterpieces of art. The tour will end with the visit to the Grand Bazaar, the vast and legendary covered market that is the biggest souk in the world with nearly 4000 shops of antiques, jewelry and carpets. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 ISTANBUL – CAPPADOCIA

After breakfast, drive to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Once arrived, start the tour with visit to Uchisar Castle, followed by the Rose Valley. After the tour, drive to the hotel in Cappadocia for dinner and check into your hotel.

DAY 4 CAPPADOCIA

Breakfast at the hotel before a morning visit to the underground city of Kaymaklı and the Citadel of Uçhisar. After lunch, continue with to Valley of “Göreme” and visit the Open-Air Museum. The last sites of the day will be the Paşabağ Valley and Avanos. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Optional Excursions : Optional Hot Air Balloon Flight (+$): This is truly a once in a life time experience and there is no better way to see the distinctive landscapes of Cappadocia than by gently floating overhead in a hot air balloon. Guaranteed departure as long as the weather allows.

DAY 5 CAPPADOCIA – KONYA – PAMUKKALE

Early departure for Konya. On the way, visit the 13th century Seljukian caravanserai “Sultanhan”. The next stop will be Konya which is famous for the Mevlana Museum and the Theological School of Whirling Dervishes. Lunch en route, drive to Pamukkale for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6 PAMUKKALE – KUSADASI

Visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. The ruins of the biggest Necropolis Graveyard of the ancient world, Roman Baths, Basilica and calcium cliffs. Drive to Meryemana and visit the House of the Virgin Mary. After lunch, continue to Ephesus, the Roman Capital of Asia Minor. Visit the ruins of the Odeon, Hercules Gate, the Temple of Hadrian, the magnificent library, the Agora and the fantastic Greco-Roman theatre. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 7 KUSADASI – ISTANBUL

After breakfast, transfer to Izmir Airport for a short flight to Istanbul and your departure flight home.
