Turkey is a unique country that extends on two continents – Europe and Asia – a unique position, which gave birth to a culture that reflects both West and East. It is a friendly country that offers all modern facilities, yet traditional enough to be fascinating. This country is without a doubt a destination of sun, sea, mountains, and lakes that offers the vacationer a complete change from the stress and routine of everyday life. The Turkish people have an unrivalled reputation for hospitality, the cuisine is to die for, the coastline, like a dream, and many Turkish cities are dotted with spectacular mosques and castles. And while costs are rising, Turkey remains one of the Mediterranean’s bargain-basement destinations.

Istanbul, a fascinating city built on two Continents, divided by the Bosphorus Strait. This is one of the greatest cities in the world where you can see a modern western city combined with a traditional eastern city, it’s a melting pot of many civilizations and different people. Today it hums as Turkey’s cultural heart and good-time capital. Its history tracks back from Byzantium to Constantinople to its place at the head of the Ottoman Empire. In this city you can tramp the streets where crusaders and janissaries once marched; admire mosques that are the most sublime architectural expressions of Islamic piety; peer into the sultan’s harem; and hunt for bargains in the Grand Bazaar. Side by side with Old Istanbul you’ll find hip bars and clubs, flashy executives, malls and haute cuisine. Istanbul has architecture, art, nightlife, cuisine, history, religion, shopping more than enough of it, at prices which are among the lowest in Europe.
Cappadocia
Cappadocia is, without a doubt, a place that leaves its visitors with a magical and unforgettable impression of the landscape and culture of today’s Central Anatolia. Meaning “land of beautiful horses” in ancient Persian, Cappadocia is best characterized by its distinct landscape. The bizarre, almost lunar-like geological formations, hidden caves, and underground cities give this land-bound region of Turkey an air of mystery. Wandering among the famous “fairy chimneys” or peeking into Christian churches carved into rock, Cappadocia calls to the curious traveler wanting to bring back tales of the once powerful region called Asia Minor.
